Welcome Ariel Wengroff to Team Ledger
Anyone paying attention knows crypto is at an inflection point. One clear sign of that is top talent from other industries entering the space. We’ve been lucky to be joined by some truly spectacular individuals who decided to begin their crypto journey with us, and some old hands who decided to make Ledger their next home and build the future with us.
Today, Ledger welcomes Ariel Wengroff as Editor-in-Chief. Previously an executive and senior advisor at TMT advisory firm, LionTree, Ariel is an Emmy-nominated producer and brand specialist. She was the youngest person to ever be nominated for an Emmy in the category of Executive Producer in the Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series, for her work on the Viceland show, WOMAN with Gloria Steinem. Before becoming the Publisher for VICE’s Broadly (now VICE life), the media conglomerate’s women and LGBTQ+ identity channel, she served as Chief of Staff, where she worked on interviews with Former President Barack Obama, Former President George W. Bush, then-Vice President Joe Biden, Gloria Steinem, Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai, and many more.
At Ledger, Ariel will take on a unique role, well-suited to her past experience focusing on the future of the creator economy; one that transcends the digital asset industry and will illuminate our next steps into Web3. Ariel will help share and build Ledger’s story, while also focusing on the incredible creators, developers and consumers establishing the future of Web3 — from NFTs to digital assets to data security.
Though it is built on the foundations of peer-to-peer transparency and collaborative interaction, the digital asset community can feel exclusive and insular — from social media chambers to the intricacies of protocol layers, we’ve been talking to ourselves for so long, and we weren’t sure anyone would ever listen. But the last year has shown us that the world is listening now, and we will need storytellers and creators like Ariel to share everything Web3 has to offer and make sure Ledger educates and creates a space for everyone to feel welcome in our Web3 future.
Welcome, Ariel — we are thrilled you’re here.
