Ledger Partners with Brink To Support Bitcoin Developers 

Ledger is proud to announce its collaboration with Bitcoin research and development center, Brink. As part of this partnership, Ledger is donating $5 to Brink for each Ledger Bitcoin hardware wallet sold. The funds will be allocated to help strengthen the Bitcoin network and developers through funding, education, and mentoring.

So far, Ledger has contributed $50k to Brink thanks to the campaign, and our collaboration is set to continue. Speaking about the partnership, Executive Director of Brink Mike Schmidt said,

“I’m excited about this […] ongoing campaign with Ledger. Not only is Ledger providing hardware signing devices for individuals to secure their Bitcoin, but they are also, through their contributions to Brink, helping to secure the underlying Bitcoin network itself”

Who is Brink?

Brink is committed to supporting Bitcoin developers across the globe. Founded in 2020, the 100% donor-funded organization boasts some notable sponsors, including Jack Dorsey’s #startsmall fund, investment firm and Bitcoin Spot ETF provider VanEck, and crypto exchange Coinbase.

The organization looks to support the overall health and progress of the Bitcoin network by providing Bitcoin developers with funding, education, and mentoring. To push Bitcoin into the future, Brink offers grants to existing Bitcoin developers with a focus on testing, reviewing, maintaining, and securing the Bitcoin Core codebase.
