Making coding better and faster with Ledger Developer Portal

Ledger is proud to announce the milestone launch of its Developer Portal, with dedicated content to guide developers and blockchain players to integrate their nano applications, coins, services, tokens and DApps on Ledger Live*.

Ledger, an open-source and developer-friendly platform

At Ledger, it has always been in our DNA to encourage internal and external developers to enrich our products. Our code is open-source, that is, available to any external developers or entities. Third-party developers submitted most of the coin applications available on Ledger devices. 

Most importantly, these implementations were carried out in the secure framework we provide, under the guidance of the Ledger coin integration team, along with a security audit performed by our team of security experts from the Donjon.

Introducing our new Developer Portal 

We are now going one step further by launching a Developer Portal, an updated and enriched content to guide developers and blockchain teams. It contains step-by-step instructions, including development code, tools and sample code, making your coding projects for Ledger Live much easier: 

• Firstly, developer documentation is more readily easily accessible. The Developer Portal is where you can quickly look up and follow third-party documentation in a single location. 

• Secondly, existing information is clarified. The developer portal is clearly written, with easy-to-follow navigation and many illustrative examples to try out.  

• Thirdly, the Developer Portal provides you with an enriched array of tools to help you integrate your own coins, services, tokens and DApps on Ledger Live.

With the new Developer Portal, every blockchain player has direct access to clear documentation to support their projects. Besides, you are never left alone. The Ledger team will always be there to help you check and review what you developed.

The Developer Portal offers developers a turnkey solution to access quality information in one single place. Hence, developers  gain autonomy and development speed with Ledger on their side to support them. And obviously, as everything we do, its content is open-source and we invite any developers to improve it.
